What Makes a Batouwe P9 Unique?
A P9 from Batouwe grows under optimal conditions with us for two years. The first year as a cutting, the second year as a P9. You receive a compact, bushy plant that takes root quickly. A plant that has also been pruned multiple times — either by machine or by hand.
Mother Plants
Batouwe uses its own mother plants for cuttings. We know the origin of every cutting, allowing us to focus directly on quality.
Growing Conditions
A high-quality P9 requires top-level growing conditions. In our high-end propagation greenhouses, we produce nearly 3 million strong, uniform, and well-hardened P9s annually.
Wide assortment
We offer an extensive range of shrubs in P9 — including many difficult, slow-growing sorts and varieties. These can only be grown successfully with the highest attention and care.
Labour-Saving
Our P9s can save you up to 12% in labour thanks to the special 28-cell, 18-cell, or 8-cell trays. The plants are easy to remove, making potting significantly faster.

What would you like to know?
What are Batouwe plants grown in?
They are grown in 28-cell, 18-cell and 8-cell multi-trays.
Is there a minimum order quantity?
Yes, we supply our P9s per full 28-cell, 18-cell or 8-cell tray.
What assortment does Batouwe supply in P9?
We have an assortment of 800 sorts + varieties. The full assortment is available on our website.
How are P9s delivered?
Preferably on CC trolleys to ensure the plants arrive in optimal condition.
Why use a P8, P9 or C1 tray?
We use trays for several reasons. Every P8 (28-cell), P9 (18-cell) or C1 (8-cell) tray is supplied with 100% living and graded plants. The use of trays makes it easier processing the plants with a potting machine. So no more individual pots — but P8, P9 or C1 trays.
Are the P8, P9 and C1 trays covered with bark?
Yes, all trays have bark coverings to reduce moss and weed growth.
What is the CC trolley loading capacity for P8, P9 and C1 trays?
- P8 (28-cell): 1,120 per CC
- P9 (18-cell): 720 per CC
- C1 (8-cell): 400 per CC
When does Batouwe deliver P9s?
Our P9 delivery season runs from September to June.
